Lavender essential oil is a popular oil purely for it’s scent, but it has many therapeutic benefits too. It is widely used for its calming & relaxing effect which makes it perfect to diffuse as you’re going to bed, or put some drops in to your bath water and have a relaxing soak. It is also known to easy muscle tension and can be applied to the temples and the back of the neck by placing a couple of drops in to a carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil or anything else suitable) so it doesn’t irritate the skin. It is a common ingredient in many organic and natural skin care formulas for its ability to calm dry and sensitive skin.
